Processes of how unaccompanied orders in Portugal increased in 2021

The RIFA also reveals that in 2021, 127 cases of international protection of unaccompanied minors were registered, meaning an increase of 32.3% compared to 2020, the highest value since 2017.
Most of the unaccompanied minors who applied for asylum in Portugal had the nationality of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
The report also mentions that in 2021, 228 refugee statuses were granted, against 77 in 2020, and in previous cases 78 residence permits for protection (17 in 2020), in both predominantly Asian countries.
“In terms of trend analysis, particularly not referring to the promotion of refugee growth, we observed a marked increase, compared to the previous year (196.1%). As for the granting of authorization for authorization by preference for requests, RI saw an increase in residence (358.8%) compared to the majority need to request territories, asylum made in the majority, followed by border posts.
