Portugal Eco Rally passes through Mafra again next weekend
Next weekend, another edition of the Portugal Eco Rally, Portugal’s New Energies champion, will be held, dedicated to normal road vehicles, with an electrical transmission system or other energy alternatives.
The competition of the Portuguese championship of new energies passes through the municipalities of Oeiras, Sintra and Mafra, on the 24th, 25th and 26th of June.
On Saturday, June 25th, the competition takes place in the municipality of Mafra.
According to what was announced today, on Saturday morning, the 3rd stage of the race will take place in the union of parishes of Igreja Nova and Cheleiros, close to lunchtime, next to Aldeia Típica José Franco, in Sobreiro. After lunch, the 4th stage of the race starts from Sobreiro, then travels along the roads of Mafra, Santo Isidoro and Ericeira.
In this Eco Rally, avoid penalties in consumption controls, with resources provided by the organization, as possible to demonstrate that they achieve the best energy management throughout the course and ensure regularity. Drivers respect all the rules of the road code and the streets that are used daily.
The race is organized by the Classic Clube de Portugal and is part of the world championship of new energies of the International Automobile Federation (FIA).
There are 40 registered affiliates, mostly Portuguese, but also Spanish, Italian, French, Belgian, Slovenian and Czech.
So far, any traffic restrictions caused by this event are unknown.
