Gardens open for the San Marino Green Festival
Countdown to the San Marino Green Festival with an itinerary of the gardens of the historic center of San Marino, public and private. And in September it doubles on Montefeltro.
The Green Festival is preparing for its fourth edition entitled “The world as a garden” Saturday 25 June at 10.30 in the Liburnian Gardens in the Historic Center, with a prologue Friday 24th at Podere Lesignano starting at 2.30 pm. After the previous edition with the plant neurobiologist Stefano Mancusowe continue on a green thread to deal with trees this time with the science communicator Francesco Ferrini, expert in urban greenery, full professor of arboriculture at the University of Florence and host of talk shows and broadcasts such as GEO & GEO (Saturday 25 June at 5.00 pm Piano dei Mortai). So one Mara Verbena national team will introduce us to the “Gardens and Flowers of San Marino”.
On Friday 24 at 3 pm at Podere Lesignano there will be Franco Arminiopoet, writer and director self-described as ‘landscape scientist’, who will introduce us to “The care of the gaze”, an itinerary in the nature and soul of the places.
The poet-musician Matteo Goglio who, among other things, has created the song STILL I SING, a musical gift for Still I Rise by Nicolò Govoni, will instead invite us to a journey with the instruments of poetry and a guitar on the stage of nature.
And then the artist’s exhibitions Iaia Zanella and the young illustrator Miriana Greggithe presentation of books on ecovillages of Italy with Lorenzo Olivieri and Iacopo Tabanelli and a manual of good Earth management with Francesca Piergiovanni. Hence the flute of Monica Moroni and a speech by the environmental activist and journalist Linda Majorknown for its battles for soft mobility, in which the use of cars is eliminated.
Nourished the group of actors-readers of stories of flowers and gardens, some itinerant, with the Club Rodari of Rimini, Damiana Bertozzi and Alessandra Carlini. Moving slightly from the historic center, you can visit the exhibition “The unsustainable of art”, a collective of artists’ lightness curated by Carlo Biagioli srl.
The scientific direction of the festival wanted to deepen the knowledge of the historic center over the centuries, and a forerunner model of circular economy has emerged. Hence an iconographic exhibition curated by Leone Morganti and of Board of the Castle House. With the guide Chiara Macina it will be possible to go and discover the historic center and its gardens and monuments, suitable for both foreigners and San Marino residents. For children there will be the “Naturalistic treasure hunt” organized by Cailungo Calcio, a historical partner of the festival.
A crackling and colorful festival on the Piano dei Mortai, will be that closing with the Recycled Musical Circus. Four instruments with tools obtained from recycled materials of all kinds and with a variety, will amaze young and old (Saturday at 18.30).
The 24 and 25 September it will then be the turn of Montefeltro Green Festival in its first edition dedicated to the upper Valmarecchia and with its center of gravity in Novafeltria.
