A wide-ranging cooperation, which places the health of the person and the well-being of the community at the center of the health and social health system. In this spirit, on the morning of Friday 10 June the memorandum of understanding between Health, the Institute for Social Security and the Voluntary, Social and Solidarity Associations was reached. To sign the important document, the Secretary of State Roberto Ciavatta and the President of the Polo of Associations, Dr. Giovanni Iwanejko. The Memorandum of Understanding to recognize, promote, promote and support the activities in the health and social-health sectors of the Polo delle Associations. The same will foster collaborations and initiatives related to the protection of citizens’ health and to promote health activities, in order to improve knowledge, awareness and prevention of diseases. The signed protocol presents a principle: voluntary, social and health associations and in accordance with their operations. In this sense, article 7 of the memorandum of understanding is to be understood which, together with the temporal derogation introduced with the Deliberation of the State Congress n.32 of 23 May 2022, creates the conditions for the recognition of this status in the reform of the Law on the associations on which the Secretariat for Education and Culture is working. Roberto Ciavatta (Secretary of State for Health and Social Security): “I thank all the associations that spend themselves free and with passion to improve our health system. They represent an essential meeting point between citizens and health institutions, which we not only cannot afford to lose, but which we must try to increase even and above all after the two difficult years of the pandemic. I hope that this memorandum of understanding can represent a concrete commitment in this direction “. Francesco Bevere (ISS General Manager): “Voluntary associations represent an essential pillar of the health and social-health system, in which they play a leading role. As I have already had to declare during all the meetings with the representatives of the Associations, volunteering is the driving force for any change, since they concretely represent the needs of those who experience suffering. The agreement is therefore a further step to strengthen the collaboration underway and to continue along the path of growth and continuous development of San Marino healthcare ”.
