Few visitors at the 40th Goldegger Dialogue
Culture
The 40th Goldegger Dialogue ended on Sunday with the presentation by the German sociologist Hartmut Rosa. For a week, future models were discussed that can bring people closer to life. Financially, the 40th dialogues were not a success.
The Goldegger Dialogues for the 40th anniversary presented themselves thematically up-to-date and relevant in terms of content. Speakers from the fields of biology, physics, sociology, theology, medicine and activism spoke on the topic “Being connected. For a new world relationship”. However, fewer paying visitors came today than before the pandemic, says organizer Cyriak Schwaighofer.
“Need to find additional supporters”
“We will get away with a black eye this year, but of course we have to think about finding additional supporters for the next few years. It could be companies and institutions, and I’m optimistic about that,” says Schwaighofer.
The Goldegger Dialoge no longer want to grow, he adds. This year the ideal ratio of participants and offers has been achieved. “If we can make it economically, then we will not strive to continue growing. A basic message of these dialogues was: not everything always has to grow.” The 41st Goldegger Dialogues are planned for the second week of June 2023.
