The Entourage association invites residents to meet the poorest in their neighborhood, to discuss and recreate social ties. The operation is national and takes place this Saturday, June 18, from 2 p.m., in Bordeaux
While according to a France Foundation study7 million people would be in isolation in France, Surroundings says “hello hello”. With this event, the association invites the inhabitants of the neighborhoods to meet the most isolated, and in particular the homeless. The operation is taking place in several cities in France, and in particular in Bordeaux, this Saturday, June 18 between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m.
The principle is simple. It is enough register on the website of the association to receive a “kit” indicating the procedure to follow by email. This contains in particular the best practices to follow so as not to rush your interlocutor, as well as a series of “challenges”, which should make it possible to create links and break down prejudices: find a stranger whose it is (almost ) the birthday and celebrate it, sing the favorite song of the person met, etc.
Meeting points are also defined to allow participants to discuss. In Bordeaux, they are set at 4 p.m. next to the tortoise on Place de la Victoire and at 6 p.m. on Place André-Meunier.
