The Athens Pride 2022 parade is over
Thousands of people gathered in the center of Athens as part of the Athens Pride Festival 2022, which began with speeches at the Syntagma, continued with the traditional parade and will end with a concert in Syntagma Square.
The center of Athens was flooded with flags in the colors of the rainbow, with slogans on posters and thousands of people dancing and singing.
The parade started from Amalias Avenue, crossed the university one and then through Stadiou Street ended in Syntagma Square for the concert that takes place in a special stage that has been set up within the Athens Pride.
During the parade, the people present were dancing to percussion rhythms, as well as music played by the “chariots”.
The event was attended by hundreds of people and was attended by representatives of politics. From the present government were given the Deputy Minister of Culture, Nikolaos Giatromanolakis, the Deputy Minister of Labor, Domna Michailidou and the head of the Prime Minister’s financial office, Alexis Patelis, the Minister of State, Akis Skertsos, the General Secretary Coordinator.
Alexis Tsipras was at the Athens Pride in the afternoon, calling on the government to vote together on the proposal put forward by SYRIZA in Parliament, on civil marriage for all, childbearing and the rights of the LGBTQI community.
