Krakow Police: Service dogs in the Polish Police
In the Polish Police. They are used not only for patrolling and tracking, but also for finding sources and explosives, weapons, human corpses, protective rescue, also for anti-terrorist activities and identification of trace people. Although the breeds preferred for training are the German Shepherd Dog and the Belgian Shepherd Dog, there are also small Munsterlanders, Fox Terriers and German Flushing Dogs in the police service.
History of police cynology

Its commander was Marian Grabski, a service dog guide in the pre-war State Police. The School of Guides and Training of Service Dogs of the CWMO in Słupsk existed until 1949. Its last commander was the founder of the Junikowo approach, St. Sgt. Zygmunt Rembielak. In 1949, the Main Headquarters POSSIBILITY The Public Security Service (Słupsk) with an application for the operation of the School of Guides and the Treasury of Service Dogs in Słupsk with the Service Dog Training Center in Sułce. The most numerous group of service people in the Police are dogs of the patrol-tracking category (459 dogs). Dogs in this category are used in patrol duty, search of premises, chase after a person and during ambushes. They provide assistance in carrying out intervention activities, in detaining people, bringing and escorting people. it will also be used to track down human traces. Dogs of the patrol category (51 dogs) carrying out a preventive action. Dogs of the combat category (6 dogs) are used in the counterterrorist service. Tracking dogs (66 dogs) They are established to track human traces at the scene and search the area to find missing persons. Another presentation are presentation dogs, which appear in the search for and obtaining information and acts related to terrorism, the smells of weapons of smell are used (163) and to search for information materials, fingers and ammunition (101). Dogs are also used in the Police searching for the smell of a human corpse on on land (15 dogs) and the smell of human cadavers on the water (4 dogs) and dogs for osmological tests (30 dogs). The directions of work of the CSP Police Kennel Club in Legionowo are training dogs that track people according to mantrailing. These dancing dogs are in the Western police to search for missing persons. Currently, in the Criminal Police Office of the Police Headquarters there are 4 dogs of this category, which have completed a 3-year training in the Polish National Police Headquarters in Legionowo. Withdrawal from female service animals in the Police
From the beginning of creating new solutions, i.e. the Act of August 11, 2021. to amend the Police Act and certain other acts (item 1728), the Police Commander in Chief could have the good and financial and service benefits withdrawn for the benefit of the client into force The Act, i.e. before December 21, 2021, he took the same support as they changed back to the Police to be able to take effect Of the Act51 service dogs.
The act comprehensively regulates the legal status of the god of selection for websites, ensuring the implementation time until their re-work in the Police, including:
- Former caregiver for caregivers who took care of caregivers, in the alert of formation, caregivers of caregivers,
- rules of animal nutrition,
- Rules for performing preventive treatments and treatment,
- In-service recall service policy,
- the status of withdrawn animals,
- Control and control mechanisms.
The Minister of the Interior and Administration on December 22, 2021, carrying out the delegation contained in the amending actedition in service and service horses in the Police.
