FC Wacker Innsbruck II’s last appearance brought a 3:5 defeat at SV Hall. The TFV decided in a resolution on June 14, 2022 how things can continue with FC Wacker Innsbruck after bankruptcy. What this decision means for promotion and relegation in the Regionalliga Tirol cannot be estimated at the moment. It depends on whether FC Wacker Innsbruck can really start again in the Tirol Liga. Of the SV Fugen has in any case the most gratifying spring with relegation and cup victory with a 6:1 victory at SV Innsbruck closed.
Join fully concentrated – despite the party mood
Thomas Luchner, coach SV Fuegen: “In terms of character, a top performance after the celebrations! The great cup win against Imst didn’t affect my team’s concentration or attitude in any way, and today we scored a great 6-1 win at SV Innsbruck. Double strike in the sixth and seventh minutes by Mathias Maderbacher and Velibor Keser, Velibor with the 3:0 in the 47th minute. Stephan Kuen also scores twice in the second half, Johannes Zeller converts a penalty just before the end. In the 66th minute, SVI scored a goal through Lukas Steinbacher. Great general praise in every direction for the entire team for this 6:1 success!”
Haller Löwen defeat Wacker Innsbruck II with 5:3
The Haller Löwen win the lower play-off quite clearly with the 5:3 success against Wacker II. Five points ahead of the WSG amateurs, six on Fügen. Wacker Innsbruck II has twenty-one points, SV Innsbruck has nine. So much for the sporting aspect.
However, this result was decisively changed by the bankruptcy of Wacker Innsbruck and the decision of the TFV of June 14, 2022, which essentially provides for the following regulation.
The most important resolutions of the TFV regarding the bankruptcy of Wacker Innsbruck in the wording:
1) In the 2022/2023 season, the club FC Wacker Innsbruck will be divided into the HYPO TIROL LIGA according to § 3 second sentence of the ÖFB promotion and relegation regulations between the second highest and third highest performance level (valid from July 1st, 2018).
2) The amateur team and the 1st c team of FC Wacker Innsbruck will be in analogous application of the game operating guidelines of the Austrian Football League (§ 4 Para. 3) and the championship rules of the ÖFB (especially § 9 Para. 2) in the 2021/2022 game year matured to the bottom of the table and loses its right to participate in the 2022/2023 game year.
3) According to Article 19, paragraph 1, letter a) of the implementation regulations of the TFV, FC Wacker Innsbruck is entitled to register a 1b team (2nd combat team) for the 2022/2023 game year, which will be divided into the 2nd class.

How could it go on – a speculation
What that means exactly for the question of relegation in the Regionalliga Tirol will probably also depend on whether Wacker Innsbruck can really start again in the Tirol Liga. Wacker Innsbruck II would have been relegated to the last place of the lower play-offs after being reranked, the first team would take part in the Tyrolean League, the second team would no longer have the right to play. If Wacker Innsbruck starts again in the Tirol Liga, SV Innsbruck could also play the relegation game against the runners-up in the Tirol Liga Silz/Mötz in the penultimate place of the lower play-offs in the Tirol Regionalliga. Of course, as the champion of the Tirol League, Kundl is definitely a climber in the Regionalliga Tirol. But the last word has probably not yet been spoken, it depends on developments in the coming weeks.
