8% of EU companies use Artificial Intelligence solutions. Portugal is above the European average – Computers
According to recent Eurostat data, in 2021, 8% of European companies use Artificial Intelligence solutions. Portugal is part of the group of countries whose companies most resorted to this type of technology last year.
Solutions used by companies include European text analysis technology; voice, language and image recognition; machine learning for data analysis; robotic process automation software; and even technologies that determine the machine to be taken into account or that move and make decisions to be taken.

The data of to know that Denmark (24%), Portugal (17%) and Finland (16%) is stated as the Countries where the adoption of AI solutions by companies is higher. On the other hand, Poland, Hungary, Cyprus, Estonia, Bulgaria (3%) and Romania (1%) stand out as negative.
According to Eurostat, over the past year, 29% of European companies use IoT solutionsbetween systems that can be monitored or controlled remotely via the Internet.
The data indicate that 72% of companies surveyed Using technology to ensure the security of their facilities, through alarms and intelligent surveillance cameras. Already 30% use it to manage energy consumption and 24% to monitor the conditions of machines or vehicles.
Among the countries whose companies serve more IoT solutions are Austria (51%), one Slovenia (49%) and, closing the “podium”, the Finland and Sweden (both with 40%). Companies in Estonia (17%), Bulgaria (15%) and Romania (11%) are the ones that least use this type of technology.
