About fifteen schoolchildren and college students from the Notre-Dame de la Jeunesse school group in Saint-Menet in Marseille experienced symptoms of dizziness, nausea, crying and tingling in the afternoon, requiring the intervention of marine firefighters. They were taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.
The Marseille firefighters were contacted around 1:45 p.m. by the establishment Our Lady of youth, in the 11th district of Marseille for a series of illnesses affecting about fifteen children.
They were complaining about “dizziness, nausea, crying and tingling”specifies the battalion of marine firefighters of Marseille.
A total of 16 children experienced these symptoms and 14 of them were taken to hospital as a preventive measure.
The doctor who examined them ruled out heat and food poisoning as causes of these discomforts. “They happened in succession”says the firefighters.
25 men and nine machines were mobilized for this operation which lasted almost an hour and a half.
The ARS has been warned of these serial discomforts. After the medical examination, it may be “that after the first discomfort, it was a collective stress that spread, nothing alarming”the sailors-firefighters of Marseille want to be reassuring.
