A new party culture
At the conclusion of the Congress Assembly of TOMORROW – Motus Liberi, the first since the birth, the new members of the Central Coordination were elected and the final motion was adopted, which in the face of an in-depth analysis of the context in which the Party it was found to be born and to operate, dictates the next political line of D-ML. The Party came out of this important democratic moment strongly strengthened, determined and reorganized: it is therefore already to say that the objective of starting to tell a new possible party culture has been achieved, also through the contributions and the debate on the evening of Friday 10. June, at the Sala Montelupo in Domagnano, where politicians from San Marino and Italy took the floor, offering their greetings and helping to stimulate the population on the title of the congress: “If not me, Who? If not now, when? Towards Tomorrow, a new Party culture ”. The works were started by the President of the Assembly, Michela Pelliccioni, who, following a moment dedicated to the memory, among the applause of the many people present, of the recently deceased figure of Romeo Morri, read the greeting letter received from SE Msgr. Andrea Turazzi, Bishop of San Marino-Montefeltro, who addressed important words of encouragement to the Assembly of D-ML: “Making politics is not easy, in the first place prejudices must be removed.” With regard to the concept of “a new party culture”, then the President Lorenzo Forcellini Reffi intervened, who – thanking the Secretary of State Fabio Righi for his commitment in these difficult months on behalf of the Central Coordination, to whom the audience dedicated a convinced applause – he extended more than “how we cannot afford to turn away from the other: we need to find a culture of government and majority, work hard and gain consensus without necessarily having to reach a party to overcome.” The interventions of the San Marino and Italian political forces followed, some short significant extracts of the latter are reported. Deborah Bergamini (Forza Italia), Undersecretary for Relations with Parliament: “I would like to underline the excellent work carried out with Italy by Secretary Righi: we are in San Marino with excellent relations linked to the meeting between your Regents and the President of the Italian republic”. Lorenzo Fontana (Lega), former Minister for European Affairs, instead recalled the “importance of a solid party and of the relationship with people and with the territory: citizens are the first interlocutors: we must rediscover family values and defend against globalism medium-sized enterprises “. Raffaele Fitto (Brothers of Italy), member of the European Parliament: “recent years have led to the delegitimization of parties and bankruptcy models have come forward, where decisions have been made by clicking, leaving aside any meritocracy with disastrous consequences “; then the invitation: “citizens must get involved and the parties recover their centrality”. Enrico Aimi (Forza Italia), member of the Senate and of the Foreign Affairs Commission: “Today the challenges that unite us and unite us are those of being able to achieve, as a European, autonomy, energy and military.” Pino Cabras (Alternative food), Vice-President of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Chamber of Deputies: “I bring the greetings of my political force and a reflection on the issues of peace and war, as well as the implications they have on economic and freedom”. Raffaele Trano (Alternative), member of the Chamber of Deputies: “The current party system does not follow the needs of citizenship. We must work to regain people’s trust.” Francesco Giubilei (Tatarella Foundation) focused the spotlight on the energy issue: “In recent months, we are realizing how much it is necessary to achieve autonomy to defend our sovereignty”. Vito Comencini (Lega), Secretary of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, reiterated the “support and friendship of the Chamber of Deputies. We are ready to collaborate in the future with TOMORROW – Motus Liberi and with your country”. Gianmarco Senna (Lombardy Region) brought the “greetings of the Lombardy regional assembly”, relaunching a “fruitful collaboration relationship”. Simone Billi (Lega), member of the Chamber of Deputies: “Young people are fleeing from politics, while their commitment is important. It is up to us to restore credibility to the institutions.” Gregorio Fontana (Forza Italia), Quaestor of the Chamber of Deputies, recalled to put at the center of political action: “personal respect, the family and the defense of the company. Each State brings its original contribution.” Francesco Tufarelli, Coordinator of the European Policies Department: “Confrontation must take place within the institutions. Politics must be understood as the management of the Polis.” An evening therefore characterized by outstretched hands and positive evaluations of the work carried out so far by the party.
