Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN in the saddle of ASSOS of Switzerland
Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN announces a new deal linking it with high precision cycling outfitter ASSOS of Switzerland. The partnership, driven by a shared commitment to precision engineering and the advancement of technology-driven gear, will bring together two companies that operate at the highest level in sports technology.
For our first collaboration together, we designed a jersey inspired by the blurring “speed shift” effect of racing machines in motion.
Both ASSOS and Sauber Motorsport, the organization that runs Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN, are very proud of the Swiss precision, history and engineering principles that have driven them both for fifty years. ASSOS’ core mission is to manufacture gear, not clothing: a mission it has lived by its mantra of “destroy, reset, improve” on its journey to more than 400 medals at Olympic Games and World Championships. With more than 25 patents, ASSOS develops its own textiles and refines its product over several years with the aim of achieving a symbiosis of absolute comfort and technical performance.
As part of this relationship, ASSOS will provide Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN with bespoke cycling apparel to promote the health, wellbeing and performance of the team’s riders and staff.
Frédéric Vasseur, Team Principal of Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN: “The key to success is not only technological progress, but above all human performance: ASSOS shares this principle with us – they tirelessly improve their products to bring out the best in everyone. ASSOS will help our riders and all team members to reach their full potential by pushing them towards better health and well-being: I can’t wait to work with them.”
Derek Bouchard-Hall, CEO of ASSOS of Switzerland: “ASSOS and Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN are kindred spirits – both organizations strive to push the boundaries of human performance through technological innovation. We jumped at the chance to work with the team when we discovered that our admiration for their exceptional F1 team was matched by their passion for cycling and the ASSOS brand.”
