The secretariat of state for culture is reconfirmed alongside of the University of the Republic of San Marino, partner of Ferrari on a research and training project in Sound Design on the sound of the Ferrari engine of 2025.
It was started last year byUniversity of the Republic of San Marino, in collaboration with Ferrari, a research and training project in Sound Design with the aim of defining some design proposals for the electric car of the future. Guided by the director of the three-year degree course in Design, Riccardo Varinicome on teachers of the Sound Design course, Stefano De Luca and Andrea Cerofrom the designer Rodolfo Surico together with Andrea Militello And Alain Abrahamrespectively GT Cars Exterior Design Manager And Senior Exterior Advance Designer of Ferrarithe students presented their proposals in the historic headquarters of the prancing horse company in the presence of the Secretary of State for Culture, Andrea Belluzzi. This was reported by a note from the Secretariat of State for Culture.
“The project of which I was able to reap the benefits, attending the presentation of the ideas of our students, is represented and ambitious. I am proud of the partnership that our University has started with Ferrari of Italian excellence that embodies the values of tradition and innovation, of passion and success, which focuses as much on individual talents as on the team “, said the secretary Belluzzi, who is also a multiple Ferrari Challenge world champion.
“The roar of the engine played for a decade as a protagonist in qualifying the driving experience and the identity of the brand through the vibrations that shake human bodies, activate the senses, stimulate adrenaline and generate well-being. All this, together with the sounds of switches, levers, hinges, clutches, create the glue of a stable relationship between the rider and the movement, between the user and the brand. Today, with the introduction of the silent electric propulsion engine, this relationship is lost “said professor Stefano De Luca.
“How can the sound designer intervene to reconstruct and at the same time present the identity of the car? Proposing new ideas to design a new complex, orchestral and infonic sound system for the electric car of the future was one of the students’ challenges “, continued De Luca.
