Federal apprenticeship competition for carpenters in Hard in Vorarlberg
pts20220613024 Education/Careers, Sports/Events
Salzburg/Hard (pts024/13.06.2022/16:00) –
The best carpenter apprentices in Salzburg will face a big challenge on June 25th in the Hard. It’s about the federal victory in all years of apprenticeship.
High power density and good opportunities
For Salzburg, the team is Sebastian Huber from Altenmarkt im Pongau from Tischlerei Oberreiter GmbH for the 1st year of apprenticeship, Tobias Russegger from Golling from Tischlerei Seidl Johannes for the 2nd year of apprenticeship, Christian Strasser-Gfrerer from Obertrum am See from the Strasser- Gfrerer carpentry & interior design for the 3rd year of apprenticeship, Severin Kral from Eugendorf from the carpentry Gollackner GmbH & Co KG for the 4th year of apprenticeship with a focus on planning and Tobias Fersch from Schwarzach from the company Wolfgang Holzer GmbH & Co KG for the 4th year of apprenticeship Focus on production at the start.
Exciting competition with new conditions
Before Corona seems like a different time. The competition was designed in such a way that a piece, which man was selected from a pool, could be implemented 1:1 in the competition. There were the diligent participants who meticulously threw themselves into the preparation and then there were participants who didn’t have time for the exact training of the pieces. Diligent is good, but it distorts the conditions because some participants just don’t have the opportunity to jump on this training bandwagon. In 2022, the piece to be manufactured is completely unknown. Only the federal apprentice warden Ludwig Weichinger-Hieden knows it. The participants only find out about the play on the day of the competition. This WILL first be discussed on the plan, then a timber list must be made and finally traditional connections always made. In the competition, all competencies must be played out.
Every three years of apprenticeship there are five parts, from which three different pieces are created that fit the theme but not each other. So for the first time there will be no team competition. The pieces are becoming more delicate and Ludwig Weichinger-Hieden has already revealed one thing: the wood will be spruce. In the competition itself, it all comes down to execution, accuracy of fit and speed. The tools are also the easiest to use than in previous years. Each apprenticeship year may only work with the tools on the tool list. Violation means disqualification from the competition. You will look in vain for large machines in Vorarlberg. It has been agreed that only the second and third year of apprenticeship will work with hand machines.
