Andorra CF collects around 180,000 euros to avoid disappearance
Despite the fact that the situation continues to be “borderline” and of maximum risk, Andorra CF takes a necessary breath of air. Pressed by a debt of 521,000 euros with the Tax Agency, the mining entity has already managed to collect 35% of this amount, around 180,000 euros that allow you to glimpse a ray of light after many months of darkness, doubts and uncertainty.
“Almost everything we raise, really, is commitment. When we manage between 220,000 and 250,000 euros we will tell people to deposit the money. We don’t want them to leave it to us, whatever happens and we don’t have a way to return it. The only thing we have received so far are small donations, of 50 or 100 euros”, explains Antonio Donoso, president of Andorra CF.
The vast majority of the money raised to date has come from private donations.. About a hundred followers and the historic Teruel club lend one and do not claim its return. “The problem we have is the rush and the short time. We believe that we can reach 220,000 euros soon. If, in addition, throughout this week we receive higher participations, we are still closer to the total, but we also need a bit of luck”, considers the leader.
Therefore, the goal is now clear: reach 50% of the total debt and that the scenario with the Treasury, which maintains an embargo on a property that constitutes the main means of financing the team, is slightly more favorable. “We need to buy a little more time to find those larger contributions, which are the ones that always cost the most. We are going to try to get them to come in that second term”, affirms Donoso, aware of the “uncertain future” that awaits the club.
“We do not know the dates. We have set ourselves July 1 as the limit, but there is no day defined by the Tax Agency. We still believe that we can reach August 1 and on July 10 everything ends. It may seem like nonsense, but small contributions, of 3, 5 or 10 euros, are very important to us”, concludes the president.
To collaborate with Andorra CF, the club has launched a revamped website where to make the different donations and private contributions.
