About 2400 motorcyclists traveled the roads of Alentejo in another edition of Alentejo Portugal from Les-a-Lesa consecrated event inside and outside borders after 24 years of accumulating successes
This year there are about 2400 participants and 2200 motorcycles, which are on the national roads during this weekend. The first stage linked Faro to Castelo de Vide
ODigital.pt spoke with Ernesto Brochado, from the Mototourism Commission of the Portuguese Motorcycling Federation, who explained to us that “the objective of this event is to promote tourism in Portugal and to make known some regions of the country, some municipalities, some places, some monuments to the 2400 motorcyclists are present, with 1200 motorcycles, of 15 national”, adding that “nwe have been here for 24 years traveling through the country of this so touristy, always by different routes, that is, always knocking on the door in different ways, some that we have already received six years, four, five,”.
About his time in Alentejo, Ernesto Brochado said that “the Alentejo is one of the regions that are always crossed in an obligatory way from side to side, either in a more coastal way or in a more border way“, even if “this year’s edition for me is one of the most beautiful ever, because it is very borderline and where Portugal is more depopulated and maintains the natural parks and the landscape is of better quality.”
“But in this passage through the Alentejo we are being buffeted by the heat wave, which is not letting up. The caravan melts along these counties. We left Faro, it was already hot, the sun had barely risen”, he concluded.
