• Gerda Cadostin
[Haïti – Écrivaine]
Gerda Cadostin gives to read a poignant first novel, which resonates with the great names of Haitian literature: Jacques Stephen Alexis, Jacques Roumain, Marie Vieux-Chauvet, Yanick Lahens. Body writing. Corrosive humor. New storytelling. Memory rooted in the Creole imagination. Gerda Cadostin brilliantly portrays a gallery of colorful characters: the old Sang Cochon, the Estime clan, the Voodoo spirits, the invisible fathers, and the twin sisters, Joséphine and Aline, who take the same man as their husband. Let madness run makes the cracklings and smells of the land of childhood heard. These singular faces and universes are served by a beautiful and audacious language.
Born in Haiti in 1958, Gerda Cadostin lives in France. Let Madness Run is her first novel.
• Jean-Luc Raharimanana
[Madagascar – Romancier, essayiste et poète]
Malagasy novelist, essayist and poet, Raharimanana is also the author of plays, musical tales and director. In parallel with his publications and theatrical creations, he is director of the Fragments collection at Vents d’Ailleurs editions. Lecturer and translator, he travels the world to talk about writing and literature. He participates in many cultural events, gives conference cycles, leads masterclasses and holds writing workshops with institutions and theaters around the French-speaking question.
