Passe Temps, passion machine à coudre depuis 1948
Since 1948, this well-known address in Bordeaux has always housed the same brand. Even if the electric sewing machine, which has become electronic and high-tech nowadays, has replaced the famous mechanical machine still present in many attics, more and more sewing enthusiasts are giving themselves up to the pleasures of clothing, including men. Especially during and after the confinement period.
Since 2010, Véronique Royer has been at the helm of the boutique without counting her time. “I am the third manager since the creation of the store”, she specifies. Alone at the controls, she does not stop. Very full, his days are divided between sales, on-site training, advice and follow-up. This is why it considers itself to be unique in the Bordeaux marketplace. On the other hand, she is often asked for small sewing jobs, which she systematically refuses: “I don’t respond to these job offers, each to his own job. Me, I only sell sewing machines and adapted haberdashery. And in addition to her daily presence at the store, she offers on her Youtube channel courses and advice, always in control of the use of machines. “My work is a passion”, she rejoices.
Its clientele is increasingly young – half of them are between 20 and 40 years old. Faithful to three major brands with 60 models on display, Véronique manages to satisfy both individuals and professionals. “The quality of training and follow-up is very important,” she discovered.
