Tote Hosen with a brilliant tour start in Cologne
The Toten Hosen started their anniversary tour on Friday evening in Cologne with a brilliant start. Under the motto “Everything out of love – 40 years of the Toten Hosen”, the Düsseldorf punk rockers play hits from 40 years of band history in front of around 40,000 fans in the Rheinenergie Stadium, which has been sold out for months.
“You wouldn’t believe how happy we are that we’re still here,” singer Campino called out to the crowd. “40 years – that’s a huge gift.” In Cologne – the “forbidden city” from Düsseldorf’s point of view – it was Campino’s 45th concert of the band. “And it was always good, you have to say that.”
Die Toten Hosen present a cross-section of the band’s history – from classics such as “Here Comes Alex” and “Ice Cooled Bommerlunder” to “Wünsch dir was” and “Unter den Wolken” to new songs such as “112”.
