Corte Inglés in Portugal with profits of 17 million euros in 2021 – Comércio
The El Corte Inglés Grandes Armazéns group, which manages the brand’s stores in Portugal, achieved a net result of 17 million euros in the 2021 financial year, closed on February 28 of the current year, the company indicates in a statement sent to the newsrooms.
According to the Annual Report presented this Friday in Madrid, turnover was 485,793,262 euros, 6.7% below 2019, the year that the group takes as a reference, “considering the exceptional circumstances, effects of pandemic and the state of emergency, experienced in the last year.”
EBITDA (results interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) was 45 million euros, a decrease of 24.84% compared to the reference year. Profits also changed from the pre-video year.
“The year was marked by the closing of the two Great Stores El Corte Inglés in Portugal and of Horario, in Lot. Despite all the commercial activities, the commercial activity, and the activity, the turnover was very significant”, indicates the company. in a statement. The management considers that the group is repairing the activity, taking into account the adaptation and investment services, to ensure the operation of all services and maintenance of facilities and toilets.
“It should also be noted that these results were obtained with the scarcity of the tourism market that, in the year under analysis, presented a limited promotion, when analyzing the year that preceded the company”, pointed out the company.
