Börse Express – WESTbahn is now on the move every half hour between Vienna and Salzburg
Vienna (OTS) – The rising temperatures, long weekends and the elimination of many restrictions in connection with Corona awaken the desire to travel: So it’s good that WESTbahn is offering an even denser timetable between Vienna and Salzburg from next Sunday. In the future, WESTbahn will travel this route up to 57 times a day.
The most important changes from Sunday, June 12:
- There is a continuous 30-minute clock (with only 3 clock gaps around noon).
- All trains run at the same speed (start from Vienna Westbahnhof
Trains with the previous departure minute 06 now only at minute 10, which means a travel time reduction of 4 minutes). - The clock hub in Amstetten is served exclusively by the WESTbahn (and no longer by the ÖBB).
“There is space for all travelers in our modern and comfortable KISS 3 low-floor trains with more than 500 seats. We are pleased that we will soon be able to use our trains more often for our customers, every half hour!” says DI Thomas Posch, Managing Director of WESTbahn. “The next improvement is not long in coming either: from August 2nd we will be driving up to six times a day in each direction between Vienna and Munich.”
