Sweden wants to join NATO, learn about Poland’s experiences: official – English section
Paweł Soloch made the remark in an interview with the Polish state news agency PAP on Thursday.
He spoke shortly after attending a two-day Polish-Swedish security policy roundtable in Stockholm.
The meeting brought together diplomats, defense officials and policy analysts from both sides, the PAP noted.
The talks focused on Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and Sweden’s attempts to join NATO, officials said.

“Sweden is interested in Poland’s NATO experience”
“Sweden wants to join NATO as soon as possible to get guarantees for collective defense,” said Soloch, who is the national security adviser to the president. Andrzej Duda.
He added: “Sweden is also interested in Poland’s experience of joining NATO and being part of NATO.”
Sweden and the Nordic country Finland applied to join the Western military alliance last month. The move came amid security concerns following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
All 30 NATO countries must approve the addition of new members, officials told reporters.
Thursday is day 106 of Russia’s war against Ukraine.
