Giordano Bruno Guerri talks about Ernesto Buonaiuti at the Pisa Scotto Festival – Chronicle
Pisa, 9 June 2022 – Giordano Bruno Guerri will be the protagonist of the appointment of von June 10 of the Pisa Sagra dello Scotto, with his latest book that sheds light on an emblematic figure, always discredited, but who anticipated the modernist Pope Francis by a century, foretelling it: Ernesto Buonaiuti. A scrupulous and in-depth investigation from which many unpublished discoveries emerge on a controversial character and on his dramatic story, in particular on his relations with Mussolini and on those, truly singular, with Father Gemelli and two saints, Don Orione and Giovanni XXIII: many reforms of the Second Vatican Council, as well as those of Pope Francis, are in fact based on the ideas of this priest, persecuted by four popes in the twentieth century. The author will talk to Massimiliano Simoni, artistic director of the Festival.
