San Marino puts Order among the nurses – Chronicle
Now also the Republic of San Marino has its own professional order of nurses and pediatric nurses. A few ago the announcement had already been made by the secretaries of state, Roberto Ciavatta and Massimo Andrea Ugolini, to celebrate the significant week of International Nurses’ Day. With the official publication of the Statute, which took place yesterday morning, the Order was officially constituted. “The legal instrument – explained by the Secretariat of State for Health – in addition to giving deontological dignity to a profession that is extremely decisive in the fight against the pandemic and in the functioning of hospital systems, will allow enrollment to all graduates or graduates as nurses or of pediatric nurse on the basis of qualification recognized by the San Marino legal system to increase their skills, being able to enroll in all specialized courses active in neighboring Italy “.
In the Statute, composed of forty-one articles, the requirements for registration in the register, the rights and duties of those who practice the profession in San Marino territory, the creation of the Register of non-resident nurses, the bodies of which the Order will be constituted are thus sanctioned. , competences and powers, providing for the establishment of an assembly, a president, the council and the board of auditors.
A step forward for the Republic of San Marino which “with guilty delay – the Secretary of State for Health, Ciavatta has no intention of concealing it – provides and prospects for this fundamental profession. The commitment of this government in enhancing this profession is evident in the acts carried out, starting from the stabilization of the professional figures within the Institute for Social Security in the years 2020 and 2021 as well as the numerous meetings with the University of San Marino and the nearby Italian universities to create new training courses in the Republic and to recruit new resources for our health system “.
