The great passing centers in the history of basketball
The center is almost always the tallest and heaviest player on the team and in attack is generally a scorer. Then there are rare exceptions of centers that in addition to the action, have also been excellent in creating play and daring assists for their teammates. Passing the ball well is preferably a virtue of smaller and lighter players, because the more hands the better the ball is treated. The smaller and lighter you are, the better you control your body and the fewer dots you lose. And more openings are seen to serve the companions. The first major game maker and assist man was the Yugoslavian in the seventies Kresimir Cosic and it is a surprising fact, because at the time the difference between the NBA and the rest of the world was more marked than today. Then again in the seventies and early eighties it was the turn of the American Bill Walton. Then in the eighties it was the turn of the Soviet now Lithuanian Arvydas Sabonis from a height of two meters and twenty centimeters. Sabonis for the times but also for today was something that borders on science fiction; the same Bill Walton he called it a Larry Bird for quality but two meters and twenty. In this list should be added the current two times mvp in NBA Nikola Jokic, of Serbian nationality. Who has always been an open and difficult conclusion, because they are different eras for play and also for the license to defend more or less harshly. The fact remains that the great passing centers are a great attraction for basketball lovers.
