Sun in the heart and throat – Liechtenstein
SCHAAN/TRIESEN – Under the motto “Here Comes The Sun”, the Divertimento Choir Schaan, conducted by Christian Nipp, brought sunshine into the hearts of the audience last weekend.
“Let The Sunshine In” sang the colorfully dressed singers of the Divertimento choirsas they entered the stage. The dominant theme of the sun, which poets and composers often incorporate both literally and symbolically into their art, was intended to awaken summer feelings and spread a good mood.
Forget the everyday and world-determining worries for an hour and simply enjoy and feel good: That was the concern of the Divertimeno Choir Schaan for the concert Whit weekend under the animating direction of Christian Nippwho is appreciated by the choir and the audience for “his patience, tenacity, his skillful sayings and especially his professional fine-tuning”, as moderator Susanne Tschirky emphasized.
Feel Good Songs
With German feel-good songs like “Let the sun in your heart” or “Weekend and sunshine” as well as Italian classics like “O sole mio” (fervently supported as a soloist by choir singer Tony), the singers got in the mood for a cheerful evening.
It warmed my heart when Stevie Wonder’s “You are the Sunshine of my Life” was heard, choir singer Siegrid wore joy from the sunshine (“Walking on Sunshine”) and Boney M.’s “Sunny” undoubtedly had a positive attitude towards life Symbolized gratitude.
The eponymous Beatles hit “Here Comes The Sun” was particularly atmospheric, with the band around Pirmin Schädler (piano), Clemens Kaufmann (bass) and Robin Kind (drums) creating a relaxed atmosphere.
love and jazz
The next block was also all about love. But this time with a jazzy-swinging influence. It became emotionally soothing with “Summertime”, the lullaby by George Gershwin from “Porgy and Bess”. Tony prevents at least as much feeling in his solo to “That Lucky Old Sun”, followed by the elegant jazz standard “Night and Day”.
