Salzburg Airport: New airline partner & new flight connection » News | Tip
The first ATR 72-600 from Air Serbia landed at Salzburg Airport punctually at 9:00 a.m. today – with which there are now three flights from Salzburg to Belgrade. After the Corona pandemic, which was so difficult for the aviation industry, another milestone was set for the reconstruction of the flight program at Salzburg Airport.
“Frankfurt, Istanbul, Dubai, Amsterdam and Düsseldorf are now joined by Belgrade as the latest addition to the expansion of our airport HUB system from Salzburg. With this flight connection, we are one step closer to connecting the Salzburg-Bavaria region to Europe and the world,” says Christopher Losmann, the airport officer.
“The flight connection to Salzburg enables our commitment to improve connectivity between Serbia and Austria. Many Serbian citizens work or live in Austria, which has thus become an important market for our country, but also offers great opportunities for city breaks and ski holidays,” added Bojan Aranđjelović, Head of Network & Flight Planning at Air Serbia.
New airline partner Corendon
The airport is also happy about another airline growth: The Turkish airline Corendon is now flying to Antalya on Thursdays and Sundays, on Saturdays to Heraklion and from July there will be a flight to Hurghada every Friday, which will also be in the coming winter season is offered.
“As a supplement to our holiday offer from Salzburg, Corendon fits perfectly into our route plans. In addition to the HUB connections, we also offer a good tourist portfolio for holidaymakers from Salzburg and Bavaria. Turkey, Egypt and Greece are always well booked, the holiday destinations in these countries leave nothing to be desired,” says Christopher Losmann. (red)
