Patrick Plücke signed with Servette instead of FCL
FC Lucerne
Picking is signing with Servette instead of FCL – and the Lucerne team is going to the training camp in Schruns this year
Almost nothing new from FC Luzern on the transfer market. Except that the central Swiss were outdone by league competitor Servette in the fight for a dangerous striker from the 2nd division of the Netherlands.
On the transfer front, the first working day after Pentecost has been a quiet one so far. In any case, the blue and whites on the Allmend in Lucerne have not heard anything about players who have been signed. Joaquin Ardaiz and Serge Müller from Schaffhausen and ex-Lausanne player Cameron Puertas (currently with Saint-Gilloise/BEL) are still being traded as newcomers.
According to our information, the FCL negotiated with the German striker Patrick Pflücke before Pentecost. But Servette is in the running for the classic Mainz and Dortmunder. As reported by the Super League club from Geneva, the 25-year-old attacker signed a contract for the summer of 2024. Servette’s sports director Philippe Senderos was able to use Plucke free of charge because his contract with the Dutch second division club Roda Kerkrade expired at the end of the season.
Can’t keep up with Servette
After 38 league games in the second division, Plücke had 14 goals and 14 assists for the Dutch team. The FCL is said to have offered the left winger significantly less salary than a napkin.
“Patrick Plücke’s arrival is the perfect start to the transfer phase for the club. His ability to be decisive in the last third will improve our offensive », Servette sports director Senderos is convinced of his first summer commitment.
