Euroregion Galicia – Northern Portugal brings together European experts in Vigo
The seminar “Galiza – North of Portugal Cross-border Cooperation Review of evidence and advanced solutions” was inaugurated this morning, in Vigo, by the Director of the Grouping of Territorial Cooperation Galicia – North of Portugal Nuno Almeida, the secretary general of the Association of Border Regions (AEBR) Martín Guillermo Ramírez, the Deputy Director General for Foreign Affairs and Cross-border Cooperation of the Xunta de Galicia, Xosé Lago, the Vice-President of the CCDR-Norte, Célia Ramos and the Deputy Director General for European and International Relations of the Secretary of State for Territorial Policy, Rocío Díaz.
Following the event, Martín Guillermo then gave the AEBR’s point of view on the b-solutions program. Ricardo Ferreira, representative of REGIO of the European Commission, explained how the representative of the European Commission and can make solving for cross-border obstacles Caitriona Multriona Muller of the AEBR in reality, on how to apply it expert of the Commission, to make apply it program- in Europe .
The b-solutions program is a pilot initiative to tackle legal and administrative difficulties at the EU’s internal land borders. It is promoted by the Directorate-General of the Regional and Urban Commission (DG) of the European Directorate and by the REG Commission for Regional and Urban Policy (DG)
Association of Border Regions (AEBR) with the aim of offering solutions to cross-border legal and administrative obstacles.
The sessions were strengths; Relationships in three main themes: cross-border – labor, Mobility – Connectivity and Environment which were studied by case specialists that differentiate them. In addition to the presentation of different projects, scope of this seminar, roadmaps were prepared for the implementation of solutions, agreed with no part of the participants.
Among the case studies presented at the seminar in Vigo, the studies that were carried out by the Agrupamento de Cooperación Territorial Galiza – Norte de Portugal are presented:
– The mobility of minors unaccompanied by their parents or guardians for sporting, educational or cultural activities across the border.
– Actions for movement or simplification of movement guide formalities for cross-border workers.
– The simplification of legal formalities for cross-border teleworking or simultaneous work in Spain and Portugal.
Other cases reported at the seminar “Galiza – North Portugal Cross-border Cooperation”. Reviewing the Evidence and Advanced Solutions” were:
– University integration of cross-border students with disabilities.
– Activities in protected border areas, such as the Minho River.
– Emergency teams in cross-border territories.
