Serbia hit back hard after the Norway loss
Both 1-0 and 2-1 came after a corner kick at the Red Star’s mighty arena in Belgrade, while the Serbs’ last two goals were scored in transitions.
Fulham’s goal king Aleksandar Mitrovic took the hosts ahead on a goal return after 24 minutes, while Sergej Milinkovic-Savic stabbed Serbia’s second for the evening early in the second half.
Between the goals, Petar Stojanovic was responsible for the Slovenian equalizer. He sent a flea in the net via the goalkeeper gloves to Predrag Rajkovic. It was 1-1 at the break.
At the end, Slovenia emptied itself in the hunt for 2-2. It gave Luka Jovic the opportunity to head in 3-1, and a few minutes later Nemanja Radonjic also scored in the goal record.
Serbia started the new national league with a 0-1 loss when Erling Braut Haaland became Norwegian match winner in Belgrade. Norway tops the B division’s group 4 with six points, while Serbia and Sweden follow behind with three.
On Thursday, Norway will host Slovenia at Ullevaal Stadium. The same evening, the Swedes take on Serbia.
