Finnair will start a flight from SEA Airport to Helsinki
The new direct service uses the polar route for the shortest flight to continental Europe
Last night, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) welcomed its latest international flight on Finnair’s inaugural route from Seattle to Helsinki. The shorter route of the flight enables easy access to the Nordic countries and efficient connections to destinations throughout Europe and beyond. In Seattle, passengers can join the extensive network offered by Finnair one world partner, Alaska Airlines.

International service at SEA
Finnair’s service is one of four international services to be launched this year. Turkish Airlines recently launched a flight to Istanbul, Air Canada debuted in Montreal yesterday and SEA welcomes an Air Tahiti Nui flight to Tahiti in October. There are currently a total of 42 international services operating at SEAwhich offers direct flights to 27 unique international destinations.
