Average number of Covid-19 cases drops in Portugal. Rt drops to threshold of 1

According to the data released this Wednesday, the average number of cases of entry to five days passed from 29,101 to 26,349 in Portugal, with the lowest number of occurrences on the mainland (24,971).
The North, with an Rt of 0.96, the Center (0.94) and the Alentejo (0.97) are the only three regions that register an Rt below the threshold of 1.00, which means that they now have a decreasing trend of infections by the coronavirus that causes the disease covid-19.
According to INSA, Lisbon and Vale do Tejo have an Rt of 1.06, the Algarve of 1.00, the Azores of 1.16 and Madeira of 1.22, the latter being the only region in which it rose. in the last five days.
“All regions have an insufficiency rate of more than 960 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in 14 days”, with the highest in the Azores (4,631.7), followed by the North (3,764.3) and Lisbon and the Tagus Valley ( 3,532.7), see the INSA report.
