Dagsavisen hires Børre Haugli and Einar Lohne Bjøru for the Northern Norway initiative
The two journalists will cover Nordland, Finnmark and Troms, Svalbard and the border with Russia.

Dagsavisen has hired Børre Haugli (59) and Einar Lohne Bjøru (27) as the newspaper’s first journalist in northern Norway.
Haugli will cover Finnmark and Troms, Svalbard and the borders with Russia from Vadsø, while Lohne Bjøru will cover Nordland from Brønnøysund and Bodø.
Haugli comes from a job as editor-in-chief and general manager of Svalbardposten and has previously worked for a number of years as editor and manager of several newspapers in Oslo, including Dagbladet, Nettavisen, ABC Nyheter and Morgenbladet.
Lohne Bjøru comes from a job as an adviser to the Youth County Council in Nordland County Municipality, but has previously worked with politics and economics for NRK in Oslo and in the local newspapers Brønnøysunds Avis and Helgelendingen, and made the podcast “Kystpuls” from Northern Norway.

The newspaper is also looking for a reporter in Bergen. In total, the newspaper will have journalists between eight and ten places in Norway. The newspaper already has journalists in Oslo, Stavanger, Drammen, Moss and Fredrikstad.
