Two Aussies found the net in France and Sweden; while Lyon took their fifteenth Division 1 feminine title after beating PSG.
Starting in France, Mary Fowler‘s Montpellier won an emphatic 5-2 win over GPSO 92 Issy.
Fowler came off the bench in the 67th minute to score Montpellier’s fifth and final goal of the match, with the Australian scoring fifth goal of the season.
Montpellier has one match left and will take on Bordeaux on Thursday morning. The team from the south of France can not skip Fleury 91 in fourth place, still five points behind them.
To Paris, Ellie CarpenterOlympique Lyonnais took their 15th Division 1 feminine title after defeating Paris Saint-Germain 1-0, and regained the title after missing last season.
A goal for American Catarina Macario in the third minute sealed the victory for the French giants, Lyon ended their season against GPSO 92 Issy on Thursday morning.
Move to the USA, Emily van EgmondSan Diego Wave faced its second defeat of the season, but remains in first place after losing 1-0 to OL Reign.
Van Egmond started for Wave FC when a winner in the 75th minute from Rose Lavelle sealed the win for the Olympics.
Away in Sweden, Remy Siemsens AIK faced a 4-0 loss at the hands of Linköpings FC. Siemsen started on the bench for AIK and came in in the 56th minute but failed to hit back a goal for the hosts.
Meanwhile, Courtney Nevin and Kyra Cooney-Cross’ Hammarby won 5-1 against IFK Kalmar. Nevin scored his second goal for Hammarby in the win, with a boost in the second half where Hammarby scored all five goals.
Cooney-Cross is still waiting for his debut for his new side, while his Aussie colleague, Nevin, has flourished since moving abroad.
Away in Vittsjö, Clare Polkinghorne and Katrina Gorrys Vittsjö GIK beat the newcomers IF Brommapojkarna 3-0. Both aussies started and played the whole match when Vittsjö GIK moved to four on the table.
Clare Wheeler, Angie Beard and Indi-Paige RileyFortuna Hjørring bounced back from their 4-0 loss last weekend with a 2-0 victory over KoldingQ.
Two late goals by Signe Baattrup and Omewa Joy Ogochukwu ensured the win. Fortuna Hjørring plays its last round in the Danish Elite Division Championship on Saturday night.
