Genoa, the Sports Festival comes of age – Liguria
From 20 to 22 May at the Porto Antico, over 90 disciplines
(ANSA) – GENOA, MAY 16 – Edition number 18 for the Festa dello Sport, the now usual appointment dedicated to all sports disciplines, to try and experience, which will be staged next weekend from Friday 20 to Sunday 22 at the Old Port of Genoa. Spread over an area of over 130,000 square meters, the Festa dello Sport will host over 90 practicable disciplines, from classics such as Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, Rowing and Rugby to the latest Baseball, Calistenics, Squash, Boxing and mind games. Sixty sports clubs will also be able to count on three stages: Palco Mandraccio, Palco Millo and Isola delle Chiatte, while for the first time there will also be ‘casa Uisp’, a space dedicated to the sports promotion body.
“The sport festival is the synthesis of an entire year’s work – explained Michele Corti, creator of the event -.
Our mission is to promote sport and its values especially among young people. The goal is to once again exceed 100,000 participants and the weather forecasts are from this point of view a good omen “.
