Belarus and Turkey discussed the resumption of regular flights of Turkish Airlines in Minsk
Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Istanbul Aleksei Shved held a meeting with the head of the representative office of Turkish Airlines in Minsk Ismail Ozturk. This was told to a BelTA correspondent at the Belarusian foreign mission in Istanbul.
“During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of working issues, including canceling regular flights of the air carrier in Minsk,” the Belarusian Consulate General noted.
As BelTA previously reported, the Turkish airline canceled flights from/to Minsk until May 31, 2022.
2022 marks the 30th anniversary of the existence of relations between the two states.
The Republic of Turkey became the first foreign car recognized as the state independence of the Republic of Belarus. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on March 25, 1992. In 1992, the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey was opened in the Republic of Belarus, in 1997 – the Embassy of our country in Ankara.
