Which countries vote for Portugal in the Eurovision contest final
Portugal ranked 9th in the Eurovision 2022 contest, with 207 points. This total includes 171 points awarded to ‘Saudade, Saudade’, by MARO, by the European jury (40 countries voted in the final position of Turin, Italy, this Saturday), which would place Portugal in 5th position, and only 36 points resulting from the results televoting, with the European public relegating the Portuguese song to 15th position.
The most generous national juries were those from Croatia, Austria, Ukraine and Norway, which each awarded 10 points to Portugal – the equivalent of 2nd place. Portugal received points from 29 countries:
10 points: Croatia, Austria, Ukraine and Norway
8 points: Lithuania, Armenia, Denmark and the Netherlands
7 points: Estonia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Romania, Poland and Serbia
6 points: Australia and Latvia
5 points: Iceland, Belgium, Czech Republic and Switzerland
4 points: Bulgaria, Montenegro and Ireland
3 points: Slovenia, UK and Greece
2 points: Moldova
1 point: Albania and France
As far as the public is concerned, Switzerland and Lithuania would place ‘Saudade, Saudade’ in the top 5, but there were no more than 9 countries that rated MARO:
7 points: Switzerland and Lithuania
6 points: France
5 points: Montenegro
4 points: Spain and Armenia
1 point: Belgium, Italy and Poland
Ukraine, with the Kalush Orchestra and the theme ‘Stefania’, were the big winners of the night.
