Sentenced to 12 years for kidnapping: the carabinieri of Genoa found her in Brazil
Genoa. A Spanish woman sentenced to 12 years in prison for kidnapping for the purpose of extortion and aggravated injury, it was tracked down in Brazil by the carabinieri of Genoa at the end of research carried out also abroad, they involved the police forces of Central and South American countries. The disputed crimes were committed in France and Liguria almost 10 years ago, against a man for alleged debts.
Following a conviction by the Court of Appeal of Genoa, the woman had lost track of her since 2014. The carabinieri obtained her extradition, which was enforced yesterday when she arrived at Rome Fiumicino airport and was then taken to the Rebibbia prison.
The carabinieri of Genoa, as part of another complex investigation, also arrested a 63-year-old suffering from police prejudice, homeless, located and captured after a chase near a nomad camp on the outskirts of Milan.
Affected by a prison order issued by the Court of Turin, he had been wanted for a few months as he was held responsible for the crimes of robbery in competition, simulated crime, slander, illegal carrying of weapons, aggravated theft and false declarations, committed between the years 1999 and 2011 in the cities of Arezzo, Genoa, Florence and Turin, he was sentenced to over 10 years of imprisonment. He was then taken to the Opera prison in Milan.
