Floriane CHARLES – Guitar
A guitar, a voice and… Argentina at heart.
It’s a delicate and vibrant duo at the same time, two personalities that complement each other wonderfully in music. Little by little, they weave artistic friendships that lead them to build a repertoire bringing together Argentine urban music – the tango of Buenos Aires – and the most emblematic rhythms of a folklore as rich and contrasting as the provinces of this country. limitless.
The duo Emma Milán and Floriane Charles offer a voice and guitar concert, in a repertoire of “Argentine tango” – as we like to point out on this side of the Atlantic – but also many other rhythms from “the ‘interior’ of this immense country.
In love with this music often poorly known in Europe, the infinite landscapes it suffers and the authenticity of those who inhabit them, these two artists touched the hearts of all audiences, whether they are aficionados or neophytes.
On stage, they have this freedom that allows talent to express itself with all its nuances and to get as close as possible to each spectator.
Regardless of the space they occupy, they engage in the same way in their desire to be carriers of a culture with which they identify deeply. It is the Argentina of the port of Buenos Aires and the pampas that comes knocking at the door of the towns and villages of France. Change of scenery and reverie guaranteed!
A few words to introduce these two artists:
Emma MILAN
Nothing destined Emma Milán to the sung tango, but chance doing things well, this lover of words decided, almost thirty years ago, to commit her life and her voice to a beautiful Argentine adventure. It is perhaps precisely because she did not grow up with the tango and its tradition that Emma Milán allows such emotion to be transmitted in her songs, doubling her passion to get as close as possible to the authentic . Faithful to her first love, she continues her exploration of Argentine poetry by interpreting texts of carnal vivacity; his frequent stays across the Atlantic nourish each piece, plunging back into the traditional roots of tango but also the folklore of this immense country. There are countless musicians who accompanied him here or there: guitarists Rudi Flores, Ciro Pérez, Diego Trosman, Tomás Bordalejo, Juan Falú, Moscato Luna, Diego Kvitko, pianists Roger Helou, Pablo Murgier, Chloé Pfeiffer, the bandoneonists Nini Flores, Fernando Maguna…
Floriane CHARLES
Floriane Charles, a guitarist from Vendôme, was already strumming her first strings before the age of 6. She quickly showed an astonishing ease of technique and musicality. Eclectic, she explores different styles with for several years a predilection for Latin American melodies. Over the course of his many travels, Argentina has become his true adopted country. It is therefore quite natural that she devotes herself entirely to her rhythms of the capital and the interior. Currently, she is part of various musical projects around tango and folklore.
For more than 10 years, she has been touring France and has been invited to many festivals around the world (Argentina, Ecuador, Mexico, Chile, Costa Rica, United States, Spain and other European countries…).
