A celestial dance will be incarnated to earthlings a show in the night sky during the dawn of Sunday to Monday. Hmm total eclipse will cover the moon in red when the earth passes between it and the sun; and the Earth’s natural satellite is covered by the planet’s shadow. Portugal is on the route of the astronomical phenomenon and you can see the “Blood Moon” between 3:28 am and 7:52 am in Lisbon.
Mark your calendar then: it all starts around 8:11 pm in Lisbon, with the moon rising like a huge globe on the horizon. Don’t forget: at this time, Earth’s natural satellite is still illuminated by white light coming from the Sun. But when the Moon reflects this same radiation, it becomes reddish as it scatters it into Earth’s atmosphere, explains the Lisbon Astronomical Observatory.
THE true eclipse begins at 2:31 am, when the Moon begins to enter Earth’s penumbra — the least dark region of the planet’s shadow — and takes on increasingly darker gray colors. The spectacle intensifies at 3:28 am because that is when the Moon begins to show reddish and brown tones as it enters the most opaque region of the shadow’s shadow — the umbra.
THE peak moment of the eclipse will be between 4:29 am and 5:54 am in mainland Portugal, when the Moon is completely inside the Earth’s shadow cone and is dressed in red. But it never completely disappears: during the eclipse, the sun’s rays pass through the planet’s atmosphere and disperse. The blue and green light are oriented, but the rays go ahead and meet the Earth’s natural satellite.
This total eclipse is special because the perfect moment between the Sun, Earth and Earth’s natural satellite happens just two minutes before the Full Moon at 5:12 am. More brown afternoon shadows begin to emerge. Forty for gray ones and two tones of colors, and changing afternoons.
