A town hall is for sale near Caen
The new commune Moult-Chicheboville (Calvados) has put itself up for sale in its delegated town hall. In “its juice”, the building is no longer up to standard to accommodate the public, explains Mayor Coralie Arruego.
Since the announcement made in the local press, about fifteen requests in one week were made to buy the town hall of Chicheboville (Calavdos), confides Caroline Arruego, mayor of Moult-Chicheboville. This new town, located to the east of Caen, was created in 2017. The main town hall is in Moult and the delegate town hall in Chicheboville, in a building dating from 1864.
It is this building that the City has decided to sell because it no longer meets safety standards to accommodate the public.
To enter the building there are ten steps and no access for people with disabilities. It has been in its original condition since the 1950s: the walls need to be redone, the electricity, the water… The cost of the work is so high that we have decided to put it up for sale.
