Maxime Lopez, a nice check in sight for Marseille!
OM Mercato: Eager to replenish its coffers this summer, the Marseille club could receive a nice check thanks to Maxime Lopez.
OM Mercato: Maxime Lopez retains a good rating in Serie A
Pushed out by Olympique de Marseille, Maxime Lopez joined Sassuolo in October 2020, where he found colors. In less than two seasons spent in Italy, the 24-year-old midfielder has become an essential pawn in the DEA midfield. So much so that his remarkable performances have attracted the attention of several Serie A cadors. While the Lazio Rome is very interested in his striking profile, another club in the championship has just come forward, AC Milan.
Journalist for the Gazzetta Dello Sport, Salvatore Canton explains that the Milanese leaders plan to offer the services of Maxime Lopez during the next summer transfer window. Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara would strongly appreciate the technical qualities of the Frenchman and would consider going on the offensive for his signature as soon as the next one opens. AC Milan’s interest in the former Marseillais does not displease Sassuolo, who would claim around 30 million euros to sell his player. Thus, if this transaction were to materialize for the amount indicated, the Olympians would receive a nice check in return.
A percentage of 30% on a future sale Maxime Lopez
Indeed, when transferring Maxime Lopez in Sassuolo, many observers thought that OM had carried out a bad operation by selling their player for a check for 2 million euros. Except that the Marseille management had taken care to pay a percentage of 30% on a future resale of the young French midfielder. Thus, OM could receive an estimated 8.4 million euros on the future transfer of Maxime Lopez. However, AC Milan will have to respond favorably to Sassuolo’s demands, which is not yet the case. The former Marseille kid is still under contract until June 2025 with the DEA.
