Why Finistère will hunt executives in Paris on May 17 – Economy
One thousand five hundred offers of executive positions in play and already 330 candidates proposed, this Tuesday, on the Seekube digital platform open until June 30in the perspective of a job dating that the Brest Life recruiters network programme, on May 17, in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, with the support of hellowork.
A first for this network of around thirty Finistère companies set up in 2017. Brest Métropole, Quimper Bretagne Occidentale, Morlaix Communauté, CCIMBO, French Tech Brest and Apec are also in the game. These 1,500 offers confirm the reflection of jobs in tension in digital, systems and networks, R&D, management, finance, marketing, business management, etc.
“On a need to convince”
But why go hunting candidates in packs? “The employment dynamic is strong and the Finistère basin does not allow these positions in tension to be filled”, answers Sébastien Garnier, head of business relations at Brest Métropole. “Given the demographic evolution, on a need, and on the will need in the future, to seek and convince. We try to show that it is possible to flourish professionally in Finistère, with high-level qualified positions, with prosperous personal prospects when you love nature and the sea, ”he adds.
A few lever brakes, assets to promote
Will these advantages weigh more in the balance than obstacles to mobility, such as the reputedly low level of remuneration in Brittany or the difficulty of promoting the integration of the spouse? “We see that employers are in the process of aligning themselves with the salary scales practiced in Rennes and Nantes for positions in great tension”, relates Sébastien Garnier. It also puts in the balance the fact that “real estate and life remain relatively less necessary with regard to the quality of life: this leads people to take the plunge”.
The temptation will prove to be all the greater if the company or the companion can land. “We circulate CVs via the 140 members of the Network of Recruiters. About one in four requests is adequate in this way”, assures the business relations manager of Brest Métropole.
The depth of the market
There remains another worry to leverage: the ability of a candidate to bounce back locally if his first experience in Finistère does not prove conclusive. “It’s the question of the depth of the market, a real issue in the IT sector for example. Or, on the possibility of offering career solutions, ”he says, optimistic.
For the time being, of the 330 candidates registered for interviews, on May 17 in Paris, 50% are looking for a job and 50% are in post and/or looking for mobility.
