roadblocks and parking restrictions
Vienna (OTS) – The Salzburg Marathon will be held again on Sunday, May 15th. “The changes to the route from 2019 proved their worth and delayed inner-city traffic on the day of the marathon,” says Aloisia Gurtner from ÖAMTC-Salzburg. “The Hellbrunner Straße between the Karolinenbrücke and the transition to the Alpenstraße as well as the Alpenstraße remain passable. There are no obstructions on Berchtesgadener Strasse on the way out of town, and the Lehen Bridge is also kept free for traffic.”
Nevertheless, the club recommends that marathon spectators travel by public transport if possible. “For the preparations for the marathon, parking bans will come into effect on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. on some streets. Here you have to be careful not to be towed. If you don’t feel like watching the long-distance runners, you should avoid the old town on Sunday. “, concludes Aloisia Gurtner.
