VILLENEUVE-LEZ-AVIGNON Every Wednesday evening, a market exclusively dedicated to local products
From this Wednesday, May 11 and until the fall, “V’la les producteurs” will set up every Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the parking lot in front of the Joseph-Lhermitte school (chemin des Falaises). This market full of local and organic products will be organized like a small food cooperative.
On the stands, Villeneuvois could find eggs, bread, vegetables, fruit, chicken, cheese, honey, jams… All products from short circuits. And every Wednesday, the stallholders will invite a producer or an ephemeral winegrower for a new taste discovery. Occasional entertainment with music or educational interventions around a product, such as oysters or honey, will also be organised.
More generally, the creation of this “coop” of organic and local producers aims to encourage access to organic food through direct circuits, to respect the seasonality of production, to provide support to farmers who have the choice of a respectful agriculture, to support the local economic dynamics or to participate in creating a social link between farmers and citizens.

Please note that parking in front of the Joseph Lhermitte school – along the Chemin des Falaises – will be prohibited every Wednesday from May 11 to September 28, 2022 inclusive, from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.
