Presentation of the Embassies to the Kingdom of Norway and the Kingdom of Denmark
The Republic of San Marino has two new accredited Ambassadors, one to the Kingdom of Norway and one to the Kingdom of Denmark. They are respectively Federica Bigi, Minister Plenipotentiary and Director of the Political and Diplomatic Affairs Department at the Foreign Affairs Department, and Leopoldo Guardigli, Embassy Advisor at the same Directorate of the Foreign Affairs Department. Last 5 May, in Oslo, Federica Bigi presented her credential letters as the new non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of San Marino to the Kingdom of Norway. His Majesty King Harald cordially received the San Marino diplomatic representative, talking about bilateral relations and the negotiations that the Republic of Titan is currently underway with the European Union. In the Danish capital, however, on May 6, the Embassy Councilor Leopoldo Guardigli presented the letters in his Majesty, Queen Margherita II of Denmark. As part of a broad and general discussion on possible issues to relaunch bilateral cooperation, Ambassador Guardigli underlined the importance of economic agreements such as agreements against double taxation for San Marino, as well as the progress of the negotiations. for an association agreement with the EU. During the various meetings the war in Ukraine was also discussed, underlining the common position aimed at the immediate cessation of hostilities. For Ambassador Guardigli this is the first position as an accredited high diplomat.
