There is no surprise: SC Schwaz beats Austria
With the last squad against the sovereign leaders, that’s not an easy task. The expectations of Austria before the game against SC Schwaz were correspondingly low.
The course of the game is told quite quickly. Like last time, there were chances at the beginning, but they were missed. Schwaz showed himself much harder in front of the goal and netted in the 27th minute (Pranter) and in the 39th through Tobias Vogler. After the break, the Violets pressed for the goal, but Schwaz keeper Philipp Weissenhofer was able to distinguish himself and keep his box clean. The third Schwaz goal by Patrick Knoflach in the 59th minute made everything clear.
“We’re not making the goals up front at the moment and getting goals that are too cheap at the back”Austria keeper Kalman summarized the course of the game, actually the course of the season.
Even if things are not going according to plan at the moment, the team’s commitment and fighting spirit cannot be denied. The spectators obviously also appreciate this and continue to flock to the Max Aicher Stadium in droves. The 1,080 violets supported the team again today for the entire duration of the game – thanks for that!
Coach Christian Schaider’s team will see Schwaz again next Friday and have the chance to present themselves better – 7:30 p.m., Silberstadt-Arena.
Junior teams presented
In the halftime of the game the youth teams of Austria were presented. The teams received new captain’s armbands with the Curva Viola logo from fan representatives before they and the fans sang an extra note “Wir ham Austria Salzburg im Herzen”. A beautiful moment that kickers will surely remember for a long time.
