Munich (ots) –
Friday, May 6, 2022 at 7:49 p.m
Waisenhausstr
Thanks to a fire alarm system, a fire in a dormitory was quickly reported and extinguished.
Shortly before 8 p.m., the integrated control center in Munich received an automatic message from a fire alarm system on Waisenhausstrasse. This sent a fire engine from the Munich fire department to the reported building. Even before the emergency services arrived, a person responsible for the building reported who confirmed a fire.
When the emergency services arrived in Neuhausen, all residents were already in front of the building.
After a brief comparison of the building plan and the information from the attendant, two respiratory protection teams with a C-tube went to the first floor where the fire was. There they found a total of five tumble dryers on fire in a laundry room.
The fire was quickly extinguished. The spread of smoke could be prevented by using a smoke curtain and a ventilation device.
No people were injured in the fire. The property damage is currently unknown.
Forces used: professional fire brigade
The Munich fire department has no photos of this operation.
