MU Krakow: We said goodbye to Józef Leśniak, the First Vice-Governor of Małopolska
At noon, in the church of the parish of the Blessed Virgin Mary Queen of Poland in Świniarsko, a mass chaired by Bishop Stanisław Salatarski began with the funeral sermons of the late Józef Leśniak, 1st Deputy Voivode of Lesser Poland.
Deputy Voivode Józef Leśniak died on May 4 after a long and serious illness. Numerous people said goodbye to him, including: Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, ministers, parliamentarians, Małopolska voivode Łukasz Kmita and Ryszard Pagacz, the second deputy voivode of Małopolska, the position of the regional self-government from the Małopolska voivodship with Marshal Witold Kozłowski for the start of the voivodeship, local government and sub-government of the voivodeship and Lubuskie, directors of the Departments of the Małopolska Voivodship Office in Krakow, heads of combined and combined units, changed substitute units, and family, friends and members of the beloved by light. The great patriot has passed away
– There are so many plans ahead of him, so much hope, so much work. Józef lived a vein of life. Joseph knows perfectly well that the time is short and he used all his masters for the good of the motherland. He also knew that to live fully to the truth, he was looking for good – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. .

Late Józef Leśniak was in a special way all his life. By Tue, March 6, 1968, he was born. Here he allowed and here he had his roots, to which he returned in each of his roles.
The love and affection of the motherland “shaped in him Polish unions caring for matters. Knowledge gained, among others, at Université Nancy 2 at the International School of Political Sciences of the University of Silesia in Katowice or at the Warsaw School of Economics he used at work in the country and abroad.
Initially at the Education, Youth and Sports Department of the mayor’s office of Villers-les-Nancy, later as a Polish translator, incl. in the department council of the Meurthe-et-Moselle region, trainee at the ministry, as well as in the staff of a foreign company.
There were also such disks with a dimension. In 2010-2015 he was a member of the Nowosądecki County Council.
He assured the government of the Republic of Poland as a deputy to the Sejm of the Republic of Poland of the 8th term of office. At the same time, he was a member of the Parliamentary team of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.
On December 5, 2019, he took the position of the 2nd Vice-Voivode of Małopolska, and on November 26, 2020, he was appointed the position of the 1st Vice-Voivode of Małopolska.
He saw his work in the Małopolska Voivodship Office in Krakow as a service of the Brightest Republic.

Always for the benefit of the country
In recognition of public, social and public activity, at the formal request of the Małopolska Voivode, Łukasz Kmita, the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, awarded the late Józef Leśniak with a state decoration. Commander’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta awarded posthumously. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki received the award from his wife and son.
Commander’s Cross of the Renaissance – a decoration awarded for reigning for merits in service and the state, and especially for composure in the state, publicly announced for the benefit of the country.
Małopolska said goodbye to its Vice-Voivode
After the celebration of the solemn mass, the gathered participants in the last journey of the late Józef Leśniak, until his final resting place in the cemetery in Chochorowice.
The ceremony at the cemetery is a workshop with the company of the Polish Army as the Polish Army. A salute was also fired, the whole setting was graced by the representative orchestra of the Polish Army. The Polish Army also set up an honorary post.
